Obituary

William D. "Bill" Pegg, 82, formerly of Bloomsburg and Berwick, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, a resident Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Health Center, Berwick.

Bill was born on Monday, August 9, 1943 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Arnold J. and Esther (Hilliard) Pegg. He graduated from the former Scott High School, class of 1962. For many years, he was employed by Westover Trucking as a dump truck driver. Later, Bill worked for Hess Tavern, from which he retired in 2008. He was a member of the Bloomsburg American Legion Post 273. In his younger years, he spent time working on racecars, traveling with Heydenreich team. He enjoyed watching TV, driving around, and spending as much time as possible with his beloved nephew, Tarel.

In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Pegg and brother-in-law, Carroll Morias.

Survivors include his three beloved sisters: Jean Leighow and husband, Jay, of Bloomsburg, Joan Wynings and husband, Tom, of Danville, and Janet Pegg of Sacramento, CA; and sister-in-law, Maria Pegg, of Danville.

Private graveside committal services will be held at the convenience of the family at Lightstreet Highland Cemetery. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Pegg family.
