William R. Miller, age 78, of 69 West Overlook St., Orangeville, was found at his home on Wednesday, May 27. He had been a resident of his Stoney Brook Circle home for five years and previously had lived in Beaver Twp.Mr. Miller was born September 10, 1930 in Williamsport, a son of the late Harold J., and Flossie E. Witchey Miller. He was a graduate of the Catawissa High School and a member of St. John's Community Church of Catawissa. William was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the Clearfield Elks and the Bloomsburg American Legion. As a state employee he was initially employed by the Pennsylvania Fish Commission and later by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Corrections at Rockview. Survivors include his niece: Georgia Fink of Bloomsburg and a nephew Andrew Miller of Catawissa. He was the last member of his immediate family being preceded in death by a brother: Leo J. Miller, Sr.Friends will be received Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St. Bloomsburg. Services will begin at 10 a.m. with this pastor, Rev. Charles Swank, officiating. Burial will be private.
