William R. "Bill" Voss, age 72, of Bloomsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, July 21, 2023, in the emergency room of Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Bill was a resident of Bloomsburg for over 35 years.

He was born on Wednesday, September 20, 1950 in Dunkirk, NY, a son of the late Rexford W. and Agnes (Oehser) Voss. Bill graduated from Jamestown High School, Jamestown, NY in 1969. He attended Jamestown Community College and Penn State University-Hazleton. He faithfully served his country in the Army National Guard of New York and was honorably discharged on June 25, 1971. On June 6, 1970, Bill married his loving wife, the former Carol A. Leonard.

For 31 years, Bill was employed by Kawneer as an Applications Engineer until his retirement in 2013. He was a member of the Catawissa VFW, Post 8306. Bill was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, he enjoyed playing golf, coaching his sons in little league baseball in his younger years, and he especially loved playing pool and video games with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by a son, Adam C. Voss on April 7, 1981, and a sister, Rosemary Jordan in 2010.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Carol A. Voss; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Voss; two sons, Jeffrey S. Voss and wife Amanda, Eric R. Voss and wife Diana, all of Bloomsburg; six grandchildren, Mitchell S. Vought and wife Taylor, Brandon M. Vought, William X. Voss, Gregory R. Voss, Kylie M. Voss, Wesley J. Voss; a great-granddaughter, Addison G. Vought, and a sister, Judy Knowlton of Inverness, FL.

A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Voss family.
