Obituary
William F. "Bill" Sweitzer, age 74, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Friday morning, April 4, 2025, at The Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville.
He was born on Thursday, March 29, 1951 in Bloomsburg, a son of Ethel (Stewart) Sweitzer and the late Robert Sweitzer. Bill graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1969. On March 30, 1974, Bill married his loving wife the former, Cindy Levan. Bill was employed by Berwick Industries as a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor until his retirement in 2009. He enjoyed fishing at Montour Preserve and in the Susquehanna River. Bill loved to spend time on his boat and camping with family.
In addition to his father, Bill was also preceded in death by a sister, Betsy Sweitzer.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years, Cindy Sweitzer, his mother, Ethel Sweitzer of Berwick, two sons, William "Billy" Sweitzer, Jr. and wife Tiffany of Farmington, MO, Mike Sweitzer and his girlfriend Kathleen Wrba of Danville, eight grandchildren, a brother, Robert "Bob" Sweitzer and wife Linda of Bloomsburg, and his best friend who he considered a brother, William "Bill" Noel of Loganton, PA.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Sweitzer family.
