William F. Archer, Jr., age 68, of Freeland, PA died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at his home. He was born February 21, 1943 in Philadelphia a son of the late William F. Archer, Sr and Beatrice Lillian Mahoney. As a millwright he was employed in regional steel mills.
Survivors include his wife of 12 years: Michelle White Archer; three children: Michael Archer and wife, Maria, of Bristol, PA; Beth Archer of Nanticoke and Kelly Archer of Australia; two step-children: Ariel and Tatlynn Sanz both of Freeland; four grandchildren: Tiffany, Dakota, Sequoia and Suzy. William was the last member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by a son: William "Billy" Archer in 1990 and also by two sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg. Burial will be held in Sunset Memorial Park in Philadelphia. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association, 6041 Linglestown Rd. Harrisburg 17112.
