Wanda Lou Weaver, age 65, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024 in her home surrounded by her children after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born in Waterbury, Connecticut to Lawrence Francis Snyder and Pauline Harriet Hill on November 21, 1958. She was a 1976 graduate of Warrior Run High School.
Wanda was employed by Bloomsburg Sheetz for 16 years and retired several years ago so that she could spend more time with her children and granddaughter. In her free time, Wanda enjoyed baking, latch hook, crosswords, word searches, watching her favorite TV shows (especially The Food Network), and spoiling her granddaughter with books and toys.
She leaves behind her 2 children, Melissa and her partner Jake of Lock Haven and Dustin of Bloomsburg; her beloved granddaughter, Avery; and many friends that she had made over the years. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Snyder, as well as her 3 dogs, Rosie, Wrinkles, and Zena.
Wanda will be remembered for her positive outlook on life, her great sense of humor, and her ability to be awesome like a possum.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Weaver family. Memorial contributions in Wanda's name are suggested to: The American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
