Walter G. "Walt" Williams, age 56, of Catawissa, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Walter was a resident of his home in Numidia for over 20 years.
Walt was born on Thursday, August 8, 1968 in Ashland, Pennsylvania, a son of Glenn E. and Pamela R. (Mills) Williams. Throughout his younger years, Walter attended the Mount Carmel area schools and later graduated from the Southern Columbia High School in 1986. For over 20 years, Walt was employed by the Carpenters Union 445.
Walt's adventurous spirit and incredible generosity touched so many who knew him. A legend among his friends, he lived life with fearless passion, and always on his own terms. His free spirit was matched only by his kindness he gave freely of his time and his heart, and most of all was known for his famously offensive sense of humor. Above all, Walt was immensely proud of his son Jobe, whose love and presence brought him his greatest joy. Jobe was the light of his life and the source of his deepest pride.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were able to share his wild journey through life. Though he is gone, his adventurous soul, giving nature, and outrageous sense of humor will live on in the stories we tell and the lives he's changed.
Survivors include his parents; Glenn E. and Pamela R. Williams of Catawissa; his beloved son, Jobe W. Williams of Catawissa; two sisters, Amy Steagall Hess and husband Mark of Denver, and Sue Ann Williams and husband Richard of Phillipsburg, NJ; numerous aunts and uncles; as well as three nephews and one niece.
Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 11:30 am at the Bethany Bible Fellowship Church, 654 Wilburton Road, Mount Carmel, with Pastor Roger Siegrist, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth, Bloomsburg, is honored to be serving the Williams family.
