Walter T. Stalcup , age 75, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018, a patient at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Walter was a resident of his home in Bloomsburg for over 10 years and previously resided in Plainsboro, NJ for 62 years.
He was born on Tuesday, January 19, 1943 in Elizabeth, NJ, a son of the late Frank M. and Beatrice (Mabee) Stalcup. Throughout his younger years, Walter attended the Princeton area schools, and later graduated from Princeton High School, Princeton, NJ in 1961. On July 4, 1964, Walter married his loving wife, Barbara A.(Cruser) Stalcup. For over 28 years, Walter was employed by Mideast Aluminum in Dayton, NJ as an Inside Sales Manager until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, a Volunteer Fire Fighter in Plainsboro, NJ and a member of the Plainsboro Rod & Gun Club. Walter enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and going to Mohegan Sun Casino.
In addition to his parents, Walter was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruthann Lane.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Barbara A.Stalcup of Bloomsburg; two daughters, Jennifer A. Landacre and husband David of Vancouver, WA; Rebecca L. Jackman of Morrisville, PA, five grandchildren, Kyle A. Jackman and wife Katie Leigh of Hamilton, NJ; Cody C. Jackman and girlfriend Megan Silcox of Hamilton, NJ; Chad A. Jackman and fiancee Alexus Cook of Stillwater, OK; Chelsea E. Jackman and boyfriend Ryan Wiley of Morrisville, PA; and Adam J. Snook of Vancouver, WA; great grandson, Joseph W. Jackman of Hamilton, NJ; a brother, Richard Stalcup and wife Beverly of Monroe Twp., NJ; an aunt Marjorie Johnston of Port Jervis, NY also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday March 23, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Plainsboro, 500 Plainsboro Road, Plainsboro, NJ.
Funeral Services will begin on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Plainsboro, with Rev. Anita Milne, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, NJ.
