Violet R. Dobrydnio, age 94, of Danville, died on Friday, December 7, 2018, a patient of the Emmanuel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Danville. Violet was a resident of her home in Danville for over 4 years and had lived most of her life in Harleigh, PA.
Violet was born on Tuesday, July 15, 1924 in Harleigh,a daughter of the late John and Rose (Rogas) Moro. Violet graduated from the Hazle Township High School in 1942. For most of her working career, Violet was a seamstress until her retirement. Violet was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Parish of Hazleton.
In addition to her parents, Violet was also preceded by her husband, Joseph Dobrydnio and several siblings.
Survivors include her sister in law, Theresa Moro of Bloomsburg; nephew, Gregory Moro and wife, Hope Moro, of Danville; great nieces: Megan Moro and Madeline Moro; and four nephews: John Moro of New Hampshire, Tom Moro of Hazleton and David and Donald Moro both of Freeland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Maria Joseph Manor, 1707 Montour Blvd., Danville, PA 17821, with Father John Cyriac, celebrant. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Hazleton. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Moro family.
