Timothy E. Moyer, Jr.

Timothy E. “Tim” Moyer, Jr., 53, of Bloomsburg, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Berwick on August 29, 1972, he was a son to the late Timothy E. Moyer, Sr. and Eva H. (Fox) Moyer.

Tim was a graduate of Central Columbia High School, Class of 1990, and continued his education at Luzerne County Community College. Tim and his wife, Lydia Chamberlain Moyer, were married for 28 years, best friends for 35. Tim is a meaningful part of a tremendous family who will cherish the memories and moments he created and shared with them. Tim’s love and life are carried on by his two children: Sydney Olivia Moyer and Jake Timothy Moyer, both of Bloomsburg. Tim’s love and memories will be treasured by his siblings including his sister, Lisa Moyer Haley. Brothers in law include Tim Chamberlain and his wife Michele, Chad Chamberlain and his wife Patti: Steve Chamberlain and his wife Sarah. Many nieces and nephews will continue to share his love and memories including: Lauren and Mackenzie Haley: Adam and Sara Folk: Matthew, Tori and Natalie Chamberlain: Bryce, Courtney and Chloe Chamberlain: Gavin Chamberlain; Michaela and Josh Grejdus, and Ace Wolfe. Timmy is remembered with great love and fondness by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who grew up together.

Life with Timmy was beautifully simple; he loved his family; he loved his friends; he loved wrestling, golfing, and hunting. He was the kind of friend who could turn an ordinary moment into a memory worth keeping. Tim showed a big smile, a quick wit, a contagious laugh, and a natural talent for joking around. He brought fun wherever he went. He loved a good time, but beneath the laughter was a deeply loyal heart. He stood by his friends through every season, always ready with a helping hand, a listening ear, or a joke when it was needed most. His friendship was genuine, his laughter unforgettable, and the love he gave so freely will remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to call him a friend. He found great joy in wrestling: watching, coaching, and supporting. Hunting with family was a priority, even in freezing weather! A day on the golf course with friends was a day perfectly spent, and a day with family was a day for teasing and laughing that will leave endless memories and smiles.

Timmy spent his days laughing, teasing, joking, and sharing wisdom as part of the Stackhouse family at Stackhouse Well Drilling. They called it “work”, but it was really the best of friends spending a day together outside, solving world problems. Timmy stays with us every moment, remembered for his big love, for his infectious smile, his quick laugh, the teasing yell across the room, the offer of friendship and support, and the occasional finger gesture!

All are welcome to join Tim’s family for his Memorial Service at 3 PM Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Lighstreet United Methodist Church Lighthouse, 1640 Main Street, Bloomsburg. Rev. A.J.
