Timothy D. Leiby, age 63, of Shickshinny, died on Saturday, November 19, 2016, a patient of the Veterans Administration Hospital, Wilkes Barre. Timothy was a resident of his home in Shickshinny for over 7 years.
Timothy was born on Sunday, April 5, 1953 in Danville, a son of the late William and Arlene (Teitsworth) Leiby. Throughout his younger years, Timothy attended and later graduated from the Southern Columbia High School in 1971. Following High School he faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force.
On November 4, 1994, Timothy married his loving wife, Susan (Porter) Leiby.
For over 30 years, Timothy was self employed. He owned and operated Leiby's Auto Body for over 30 years. He was a member of the NRA. Tim enjoyed out door activities hunting, fishing, and kayaking.
In addition to his parents, Timothy was also preceded by brother, Earl Leiby.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 22 years, Susan Leiby of Shickshinny: 6 children: John Steele and wife, Lorie, of Bloomsburg, Ty Steele of Hubert, NC, Jason Leiby and wife, Denise Yuhas, of Danville, Misty Carodiskey and husband, Harry, of Danville, Dana Zajac and husband, John III, of Bloomsburg, and Shane Leiby and wife, Heather, of San Antonio, TX; 18 grandchildren, 1great granddaughter; sister: Elaine Kramer of Shamokin, PA, and sister in law, Shirley Leiby of Bloomsburg, PA, .
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Leiby family.
