Thomas Sabo, Catawissa, PA, left this earth on August 3, 2024, at age 89, while a patient at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital.

Tom was born in Atlas and is survived by 4 children: Tom B. Sabo and fiancé Diane, Catawissa; Tami Brassington, Harrisburg; Todd Sabo and wife Salena, Elysburg; Autumn Sabo and partner Peter, Beaver Falls; and his grandson Collin Sabo, Elysburg. Tom is also survived by 4 siblings: Frank Sabo and wife Kathe, Texas; Dawn Roadarmel, Bloomsburg; Theresa Sabo, Florida; and Joseph Sabo and wife Brenda, Bloomsburg.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sr. and Theresa (Hladek) Sabo, Bloomsburg, and 5 siblings: Albert Sabo, Jr., William Sabo, Florence Hendershot, Joan Kline, and Edward Sabo.

Tom enjoyed time with family and friends, playing cards, cooking and baking, making woodcrafts, flower gardening and painting by number. Tom had a lot of good times linked to racing. He started with go-carts, then helped build Numidia Dragway where he raced "Sabo's Toy" (red '55 Chevy) and "The Juice Machine" (orange '69 Camaro), and he always watched NASCAR.

Tom operated several businesses that included a Texaco Gas Station with his brothers, an auto body shop, and a home building company.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Tom's life to be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at The Wagon Shed, 850 Railroad St., Bloomsburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Numidia Valley Bible Fellowship Church, 42 Ringtown Mountain Road, Catawissa, PA 17820 from whom Tom rented his home for the past 14 years.
