Thomas E. Foust, age 78, of Bloomsburg, died on Friday morning, January 15, 2016, a patient of the Geisinger Bloomsburg Health Care Center in Bloomsburg. Thomas was a resident of Bloomsburg his entire life.
Thomas was born on Friday, July 2, 1937 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Paul and Gertrude (Nuss) Foust . Throughout his younger years, Thomas attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1956. Tom was a self-employed auto mechanic his entire working life. He was self-employed since 1981. Previously he was employed by Fred Bird in Bloomsburg.
On July 20, 1957, Thomas married his loving wife, Carolyn McBride of Bloomsburg, PA. They were married in the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church where he was a life-long member.
Thomas enjoyed camping, fishing and outdoor activities. Tom also enjoyed supporting local athletics especially attending his grandchildren's athletic events.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Carolyn (McBride) Foust; a daughter: Susan Price her husband, Brian, of Shickshinny; two sons: Tim Foust of Elysburg; and Todd Foust and his wife, Cynthia, of Bloomsburg; six grandchildren: Evan Foust, Nathan Foust, Morgan Price, Derek Price, Kyle Foust, Eric Foust and also two brothers: Jack Foust and wife, Janice, of Bloomsburg; and Ronald Foust and wife, Joyce, of Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will be private at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg with Rev. Gary Reichenbach, officiating.
