Thecla M. Roadarmel, age 91, formerly of Zehner Street, Bloomsburg died on Saturday, June 4, 2011 a resident at Bloomsburg Health Care Center where she resided since January 2004.
Thecla was born in Mt. Carmel on Tuesday, May 4, 1920 a daughter of the late Leo and Matilda Schneider. She resided in Bloomsburg since the early 1930's and graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1939. She was employed by Dillon Floral Corporation for more than 30 years, retiring as forewoman of the rose grading department.
Thecla was a member of St. Columba Catholic Parish.
Preceding her in death was her husband, E. Shuman Roadarmel, on April 5, 1993; a brother, Leo Schneider, Jr. and a sister: Regina Schneider. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her son, Thomas W. Roadarmel, Sr. and his wife Dawn, and one grandson, Thomas W. Roadarmel, Jr.; all of Bloomsburg. Additionally a nephew and several nieces survive,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Columba Catholic Church with Very Rev. Francis J. Tamburo as celebrant. Burial will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery. Friends will be received prior to the mass.
