Terry Lee Blass, age 71, of Bloomsburg and formerly of Catawissa, died on Sunday, January 20, 2019, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center. Terry was a resident of Bloomsburg for over 4 years.
He was born on Monday, April 14, 1947 in Bloomsburg, a son of Florence I. (Shultz) Blass of Millville and the late Leroy A. Blass. Throughout his younger years, Terry attended the Southern Area High School.
Following high school, Terry began a military career with the United States Air Force which spanned 20 years. He was honorably discharged in 1995. He was a mechanic with his brothers in Catawissa, operating Blass Brother's Garage. He was also employed by Buffalo Jim's Auto in Las Vegas prior to his retirement. For many years Terry was the Post Commander Catawissa VFW #8306.
In addition to his father, Terry was also preceded in death by a brother, Steven Blass in 1996.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his daughter Kerri K. Holmes, and husband, Jeremy, of Bloomsburg, son, Laurence L. Blass, step daughter, Tresa Andino and husband, Richard, of Shenandoah, 12 grandchildren; siblings: Patricia Kipp and husband, Gary, of Danville, Gail Ziller and husband, Ron,of Bloomsburg, Deborah Reifendifer and husband, Tom, of Millville, and Jeffrey Blass and wife, Becky, of Catawissa.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. in with Rev. Timothy Zimmerman, pastor of Spirit Life Church, officiating. Catawissa VFW will provide military honors prior to the funeral service. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Blass family.
