Teri M. Laylon, age 59, of 110 Sunken Heights Ave., Bloomsburg, died Monday, January 04, 2010 in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Teri was born on Tuesday, August 8, 1950 in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Joseph Frank and Nora Agnes Jennings Trimarchi. In 1968 Teri graduated from the Loyalsock High School and in 1972 from Shippensburg State College. After college she substitute taught in the Williamsport schools. She worked part time during her teaching career. She taught in a variety of capacities at the Greenwood Friends School for 8 years. Also, she taught for 8 years with the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit, traveling in Columbia Co. helping preschool developmentally delayed children. The years following that time were spent working with her husband in their home sales office. Hobbies which gave Teri much enjoyment were shooting sporting clays and trap shooting with her husband. Most recently she became interested in canine nutrition. Her goal was to develop a business providing home prepared dog food. Her favorite pet was "Jasper", an English springer spaniel whom she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with and teaching him the sport of rally as well as time with Keith training "Jasper" to work in the field as a flushing dog. Teri married Keith Laylon on April 24, 1974 and moved to Bloomsburg for two years until they bought a home in Millville. Eleven years were spent in Millville, after which they spent 22 years in Bloomsburg. Teri and Keith spent most of their working career helping each other over 35 years together. During the time in Millville she participated in church activities at the Millville United Methodist Church teaching Vacation Bible School and Sunday School. When they moved to Bloomsburg she continued to be active in a variety of church activities including Sunday School, serving on the Administrative Board, plus others at Wesley United Methodist Church under the direction of Pastor Thomas Salsgiver. The joy of Teri's life centered around husband and family. Nothing was more important to her than spending time with them. Survivors in addition to her husband are two sons: Brian K. Laylon of Bloomsburg and Eric J. Laylon and wife, Amber, of Philadelphia; a brother: Joseph F. Trimarchi and wife, Fonda, of Manheim and a sister: Dorothy Trimarchi of Bloomsburg.
