Susan J. (Fisher) Karnes, age 56, a resident of Lightstreet for 31 years, died on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Berwick Hospital where she was taken earlier in the day.
Susan was born on Saturday, August 9, 1958 in Berwick, a daughter of the
late Joseph Fisher and Judith (Culp) Fisher of Johnstown. She completed her education upon graduation from the Bloomsburg High School in 1977. During most of her working career she provided personal care for the elderly of our area. Her favorite past time was cooking and providing meals for her family.
On October 14, 1978, Susan married her loving husband: Philip M Karnes. They were married 36 years. Surviving in addition to her mother is her son: Philip M. Karnes II and wife, Carrie, of Berwick, four sisters: Cheryl Mardis and husband, Wayne, of Berwick, Kathy Heckman and husband, Fred, of Bloomsburg; Evelyn Fisher of Bloomsburg and Renee Bason and fiancé, Jeremy Snyder of Bloomsburg; two brothers: Roy Bason and Allen Bason both of Bloomsburg.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth St. Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Karnes family.
