Stephen R. "Steve" Mankoski, Jr., age 85, of Main Township, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Steve was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg.

Steve was born on Saturday, July 22, 1939 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Stephen R. and Virginia (Hess) Mankoski. He graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1957. Steve expanded his education by attending Williamsport Technical Institute and graduated with an associate degree in Electrical Engineering. On July 2, 1960, Steve married his loving wife, the former Barbara E. Wolfe. For over 40 years, Steve was the owner of Mankoski Plumbing and Heating until his retirement in 2020.

He designed and built hydroponics greenhouses for the Sheikh in Saudia Arabia and was the youngest boss of the Bloomsburg Silk Mills. He was a social member of the Catawissa American Legion Post 541. Steve enjoyed spending his time surf fishing in the Outer Banks, hunting and fishing. He loved being a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was extremely passionate about being a grandfather and great-grandfather. Steve was known to be a lucky lottery winner.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Barbara E. Mankoski of Bloomsburg; three daughters: Jill Fornwald and husband Gary of Bloomsburg, April Fetterman and husband Thomas, Sr., of Catawissa, Wendy Mankoski of Tiverton, RI; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, two siblings: Mary E. Moyes and husband Herbert of Pocono Lake, Harry Mankoski and wife Clara of Berwick.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Mankoski family.
