Stephen L. Ivey , age 69, of Bloomsburg, died on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at his home and was surrounded by his family and friends. Stephen was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg.

Stephen was born on Friday, February 17, 1950 in Bloomsburg. Throughout his younger years, Stephen attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1969. Following graduation, he faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from the US Army.

On February 8, 1971, Stephen married his loving wife, the former Marijoy "Joy" M. Boone formerly of Danville. For many years, Stephen was employed by TRW, Danville and retired from Autoneum in 2012.
Stephen enjoyed spending his time woodworking. Stephen regarded his dog, Care Bear, as his best friend.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Marijoy "Joy" M. (Boone) Ivey, daughter, Cora Lowthert and husband, Brian, of Lititz, PA, and a granddaughter, Christa Lowthert.

Funeral Services will begin on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg with Rev. Dr. Lee Barnhardt, pastor of First English Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. A combined VFW and American Legion contingent will provide military honors. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Ivey family.
