Stephanie A. "Steph" Severn, age 71, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, a resident of the Sunset Ridge Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Bloomsburg and under the care of Compassus Hospice. She was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg.

Steph was born on Saturday, August 1, 1953 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late John I. "Jack" and Helen P. (Polk) Severn. She graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1971. Steph was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg. She was an employee/manager of Berrigan's Sub Shop for many years, prior to opening Steph's Subs. Steph was a blessing to the community. She had touched the hearts of hundreds of employees who had kept in contact with her over the years. Steph was a board member for the Community Giving Foundation and Columbia Montour Visitors Bureau (having served as president). She was a member of the Columbia Montour Chamber of Commerce, winning the Small Business Award in 2018.

Steph had been actively involved in promoting events in downtown Bloomsburg, as she was very proud of her town. She was a strong supporter of many Bloomsburg organizations, businesses, high schools and the university. Steph was also a member of the PA State Showmen Association. She loved the Bloomsburg Fair and had received an award for the Steph's Subs stand. Steph loved the beach. She took yearly trips to Fenwick Island as a child and then relocated to Rehoboth Beach. As Steph got older, one week wasn't enough and the time at the beach increased. She also had a love for her two dogs and was rarely without Henry Jack and Miss Lilly. She loved Penn State football, the Buffalo Bills and the Phillies, having attended numerous games.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her cousin, Ronald Polk.

Survivors include her cousin, Kathy Stewart of Bloomsburg; three "nephews": Brandon Miller and wife Heather, Bryan Polk and wife Candi, Chris Polk, as well as her dear friends: Jan, John and wife Kim Barton and family.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg, with Rev. Richard J. Mowery, Celebrant. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Severn family.
