Shirley C. Zimmerman, age 85, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday evening, September 8, 2024, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Shirley was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg.

She was born on Friday, October 7, 1938, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Fredrick and Erma (Girton) Bennett. She attended Bloomsburg High School. On February 14, 1958, Shirley married her loving husband, Donald Zimmerman. For many years, she was employed by Weis Markets as a Manager until her retirement in the 1990's. Shirley was a member of the Canby Lutheran Church. Shirley enjoyed spending her time doing word search puzzles, putting puzzles together and going on bus trips.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by three siblings: Robert Bennett, Alice Earlston and Nancy Bennett.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 66 years: Donald Zimmerman of Bloomsburg; two children: Bonnie Zimmerman of Bloomsburg and Dale Zimmerman of Delray Beach, FL; and a brother, Fred Bennett, Jr. of Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Zimmerman family.
