Shirley M. Yeick, age 80, of Catawissa, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at her home in Locust Township surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was a resident of her home for over 56 years.

Shirley was born on Monday, April 10, 1944 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Robert C. and Helen P. (Ernest) Yost. She graduated from the former Ralpho Township High School in 1962. On November 27, 1965 she married her loving husband, James R. "Ronnie" Yeick who preceded her in death on January 12, 2004. For over 30 years, Shirley was employed by Weis Market, Bloomsburg as a cashier until her retirement in 2020. Shirley was a member of the Independent Christian Fellowship Church, Catawissa. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was also preceded in death by two brothers in law: Charles Benjamin DeGreen and Thomas Gerasimoff.

Survivors include her son: James R. Yeick and wife Daphne of Catawissa; two grandchildren, Colton J. Yeick and fiancée, Natalie A. Smid of Bentonville, AR and Lauren E. Yeick of Catawissa; two sisters: Carol J. DeGreen of Kingsport, TN, Charlotte M. Gerasimoff and companion, James Huff of Bloomsburg and a brother: Dale R. Yost and wife Donna of Catawissa, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Independent Christian Fellowship Church, 168 Bethel Road, Catawissa, PA.

Funeral Services will begin on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Independent Christian Fellowship Church with her nephew, Rev. Christopher DeGreen, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Bethel United Methodist Cemetery, Catawissa. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Yeick family.
