Shirley M. Hartman, age 81, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday evening, September 6, 2020, a patient of the Bloomsburg Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Friday, October 14, 1938 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Camden Wesley and Cora (Thrash) Evans. On December 14, 1953, Shirley married her loving husband, Jonah F. Hartman Sr., who preceded her in death on November 21, 2000. She attended Faith Chapel Church, Riverside. Shirley enjoyed coloring, playing bingo, baking, crocheting, and playing pinochle.
In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was also preceded in death by three sons, Wayne Hartman, Lawrence Hartman, Sr., Wesley Hartman, five sisters, Gloria Laspie, Betty Evans, Mae Linda Evans, Anna Nafus, and Laura Kepp.
Survivors include her ten children, Linda M. O'Brien of Wilkes Barre, Jonah Hartman, Jr. of Nanticoke, Gerald Hartman, Sr. and wife Alice of Wilkes Barre, Robin Hartman and wife Lisa of Nanticoke, Patricia wife of Wayne Eddy, Sr. of Bloomsburg, April wife of Joseph Mazzillo of Pittston, Walter Hartman, Sr. and wife Gloria of Berwick, Shirley Hunlock of Plymouth, Gary Hartman of Danville, Billy Hartman of Nanticoke, 57 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, two brothers, Robert Evans and wife Jane of Hunlock Creek, and Camden Wesley Evans, Jr. and wife Robin of Milton.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will begin on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor William Renno, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in Sorber Cemetery, Shickshinny. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Hartman family.
