Shawn R. McHenry, age 41, of Bloomsburg, died on Friday, June 26, 2015 at his home in Bloomsburg where he had lived for one year. Shawn had lived the majority of his life in Bloomsburg and also spent a few years in Philadelphia.
Shawn was born on Tuesday, November 20, 1973 in Bloomsburg a son of Lois (Anspach) McGaw formerly of Bloomsburg and currently of Las Vegas, Nevada.
After graduating from the Bloomsburg High School in 1992, Shawn continued his education by attending Bloomsburg University. He attained Dean's List status in his studies of Philosophy and Political Science. For the past 10 years he has been employed by Watson Secure Computing Service as a Consultant in Internet Security. Shawn was also a very avid reader and had many life-long friends who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his mother, Shawn is survived by a sister: Jolie Phillips of Harrisburg, a brother Aaron McGaw of Las Vegas NV and maternal grandfather: Terry Anspach of Milton.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday afternoon, July 5 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will also begin on Sunday afternoon, July 5 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Bart Dejonghe sharing a eulogy. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to be serving the McHenry and McGaw families.
