Sharon M. Mensch, age 67, of Hetlerville, died on Tuesday morning, April 24, 2012 at home surrounded by her family under the care of Columbia Montour Home Hospice. Sharon had been battling ill health since this past November.
Sharon was born on Monday, May 15, 1944 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Lou and V. Ruth (Leffler) Moser. She attended the Berwick Area Schools. Throughout her entire life, she continually loved, cared and supported her husband and family. She was devoted member of the Almedia Bible Church in Almedia.
In 1972, she was preceded in death by her son: Zachariah J. Mensch; and preceded by a sister: Elsie Wynings and step-father: Harold Tittle.
Surviving is her beloved husband of over 40 years, William A. Mensch, Sr., having been married on December 30, 1971. Also surviving is a daughter: Nancy Pega of Nescopeck; a son: William A. Mensch II of Somerset; four grandchildren: Fawn M. Tomlinson of Berwick; Michael J. Pega II of Muncy; Kendra J. M. Mensch of Jonestown; and Joshua D. Pega of Berwick; as well as two sisters: Josephine Mensch and Pauline Kuzma both of Berwick.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 27 at 1 p.m. from the Almedia Bible Church, 278 Vandine St. in (Almedia) Bloomsburg, with Rev. Larry Smith, officiating. A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday from 12 noon until the time of service. Graveside services will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
