Sarah W. Roberts, age 85, of Catawissa, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and teacher. Sarah was a resident of her home in Catawissa for over 25 years.
Sarah was born on Thursday, January 5, 1933 in Danville, a daughter of the late John and Grace (Gower) Watts. She graduated from the Millville High School in 1950. Sarah expanded her education by attending Bloomsburg University, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 1954. On March 15, 1954, Sarah married her loving husband, Thomas A. Roberts, formerly of Catawissa. She was a member of the Catawissa First United Methodist Church. Sarah loved cats, enjoyed reading and shopping.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, Thomas A. Roberts of Catawissa; two daughters, Juli R. wife of Richard Beck of Stokesdale, NC; Lori A. Roberts and her companion Richard Riley of Catawissa; grandchildren, Daniel Beck and wife Millie of San Antonio, TX; Andrew Beck and wife Ally of Milford, CT; James Kopchak and wife Erin of Turbotville; Melissa wife of David Grey of Milford, CT; and a brother Francis Watts of Philadelphia, PA.
Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 107 West Main at Railroad Streets, Millville with Pastor Susan Rogutski, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Millville Cemetery. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Roberts family.
