Obituary

Sandra W. "Sandy" Davis, age 83, of Danville, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, a resident of the Gatehouse: Inpatient Hospice, Williamsport, surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of her home in Montour Township for over 30 years.

Sandy was born on Friday, January 23, 1942 in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Don Weil, and Nicholas and Eleanor R. (Rife) Ivanoff. She graduated from the Central Dauphin School District in 1959. On June 1, 1963, Sandy married her high school sweetheart, Frank S. Davis Jr. For over 10 years she was the owner of The Studio Shop, Bloomsburg, and previously worked as an executive secretary for two high schools. Sandy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bloomsburg. She was also a member of the Bloomsburg Downtown Business Association and was president for one term, Renaissance Jamboree organizer, Bloomsburg University Faculty Wives Club, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble (BTE) Board Member. Sandy loved her cats and grand dog, Phoebe. She enjoyed collecting art, reading, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and grandchildren. She was known for her love of life, her grace, and unwavering friendships. Sandy's life reflected her motto "Love, Live, Laugh".

In addition to her parents, Sandy was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey S. "Jeff" Davis.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years: Frank S. Davis Jr. of Danville; a daughter, Suzi D. Glowaski and husband Joe of Catawissa, two grandchildren: Liam E. Glowaski and wife Rachel of Reading, Ema K. Glowaski of San Francisco, CA, and three siblings: Jan Zimmerman of Bloomsburg, Cheri Rich and Vic Weil; as well as three nephews, Craig Nunemaker and wife Autumn, Curt Nunemaker and wife Kim, Cyle Nunemaker and wife Leslie, all of Harrisburg.

A celebration of Sandy's life will be announced by the family at a later date. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Davis family.
