Sandra L. Gross, age 84, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, a patient of the Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Coal Township. Sandra was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over 67 years.
She was born on Wednesday, June 12, 1940 in Sunbury, a daughter of the late William and Blanche (Mull) Treas. She attended Sunbury Schools. In September 1957, Sandra married her loving Spouse, Terry R. "T.R." Gross who preceded her in death on March 24, 2006. For many years, she owned and operated the Gross' French Fries Stand. Sandra was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Celebration, FL. She was also a member of the Give Kids the World, FL, Corpus Christi Women's, St. Vincent de Paul Society. Sandra enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren, always helping others, visiting and working at Disney.
In addition to her parents and spouse, Sandra was also preceded in death by eight siblings: Mary Achenbach, Lib Dauberman, Shirley Campbell, Linda Kingston, Bill Treas, Jack Treas, Bob Treas and Tom Treas.
Survivors include her two beloved children: Julia Ann Sim and husband, Chester R., Jr., of Bloomsburg, Hugh W. Gross and wife, Carol, of Bloomsburg; three grandchildren: Lauren S. Scott and husband Sean of Phoenixville, Elizabeth A. Custis and husband Sergei of Bowie, MD, Matthew R. Gross and his girlfriend Stacey Laitz of Bloomsburg; four great-grandchildren: Logan, Benjamin, Elaina and Gabriel; eight siblings: Peggy Witmer of Sunbury, Donna Hetrick of Sunbury, Charles Treas and wife Ruth of Verona, Don Treas and wife Cindy of Mechanicsburg, Gary Treas and wife Millie of Springtown, TX, Mike Treas and wife Joyce of Sunbury, Dan Treas of Spring, TX, and Larry Treas and wife Ann of Northumberland.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Richard J. Mowery, St. Columba Catholic Church. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Gross family.
