Obituary

Sally A. Long, age 77, of Berwick, passed away on Thursday evening, June 9, 2022, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Sally was a resident of her home in Briar Creek Township for the past six years and previously lived in Bloomsburg.

She was born on Wednesday, November 29, 1944 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Donald E. and Ruth L. (Stauffer) Cromley. On March 21, 1982, Sally married her loving husband, Harold E. Long, who preceded her in death on October 28, 2017. For many years, Sally was employed by The Bloomsburg School District as a custodian until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time watching the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and QVC and in the past on occasions riding motorcycle with her late husband, Harold. She enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in the spring. She loved her time with her family, especially when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sally was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Cromley and Jack Cromley.

Survivors include her two beloved children; a daughter, Tammy A. Allen and husband Ben of Berwick, a son, Michael J. Raymond and girlfriend Lorena Kutza of Bloomsburg, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will begin on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:00 am at the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg with Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, pastor of Catawissa Christian Church, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Long family.
