Ruth M. Wolfgang, age 92, of Eleventh Street, Bloomsburg, died on Friday, November 23, 2012 a patient of Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Ruth was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg since 1961.
Ruth was born on Thursday, March 18, 1920 in Mount Carmel, a daughter of the late Michael and Wilamena (Bunge) Valencik. She was a member of the 1938 Graduating Class of the Locust High School. Although Ruth did not work outside the home, she spent her dedication and time to caring for her husband and daughter.
In 1969, Ruth was preceded by her beloved husband, Fred A. Wolfgang. She was also preceded by two brothers: Carl and Kenneth Valencik; a twin-sister, Margaret Giger and a sister, Janice Fulginiti.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Derr and husband, William, of Bloomsburg; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother: Michael Valencik of York, Pennsylvania.
At the request of the family, all Viewings and Funeral Services will be held privately. The Wolfgang family is being assisted by the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
