Ruth D. Snyder, age 84, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center. Ruth was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for seven years and formerly lived in Millville.

Ruth was born on Wednesday, January 17, 1934 in Danville, a daughter of the late Bruce and Myrtle (Ande) Pursel. Throughout her younger years, Ruth attended the Danville area schools, and later graduated from the Danville High School in 1952. On November 8, 1952, Ruth married her loving husband, Charles H. Snyder.

For many years, Ruth was employed by area nursing homes until her retirement. Ruth was a member of the Buckhorn United Methodist Church. Ruth enjoyed spending her time baking and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was also preceded by sister, Harriet Leighow and a brother, Lee Pursel.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 66 years, Charles H. Snyder; three children, Dennis C. Snyder and wife Melissa of Millville; Sharon R. Kehoe and husband William of Millville; Scott E. Snyder and wife Andrina of Catawissa; seven grandchildren: Heather Vance and husband John, Dana Banta and husband Curtis, Hope Snyder Moore and husband Donnie, Bruce Snyder, Gregory Kehoe and wife Skylar, Jason Kehoe and wife Brooke, Courtney Snyder Kehoe and husband Kevin, 11 great grandchildren, three sisters, Lavona Robenolt of Danville; Charlotte Stark and husband Daniel of Danville; and Barbara Swisher and husband Jacob of Bloomsburg.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 107 West Main at Railroad Streets, Millville.

Funeral Services will begin on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Buckhorn United Methodist Church with her pastor, Rev. Audrey M. Brosious, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Columbia HIll Cemetery. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Snyder family.
