Ruth N. Fedder, age 74, of Iron Street in Bloomsburg, died on Wednesday, January 05, 2011 a patient of the Bloomsburg Hospital following her admittance on December 15.
Ruth was born on January 9, 1936 in Milton, a daughter of the late Samuel and Martha Lucas Gensel. She was a member of the 1954 Graduating Class of the Danville High School and also earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1991 from Bloomsburg University. She was most recently employed by Hickory Farms. She was also a member of the Landmark Apostolic Church in Riverside were she was a former Sunday School Teacher.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jacob R. Fedder, Sr. on October 7, 2003; and siblings: Donald "Red" Gensel, Cares "Pinky" Gensel and Gladys Gensel. Ruth was the last remaining member of her immediate family.
Survivors include six children: Pauline Savidge and her husband, Wayne, of Bloomsburg; Jacob R. Fedder, Jr. of Bloomsburg; Michael D. Fedder and his wife, Evelyn Pennypacker, of Bloomsburg; Billie Jo Yeagle and her husband, William, of Catawissa; Steven A. Fedder of Bloomsburg; and Patricia Lunger and her husband, Richard, of Elysburg; 11 grandchildren: Kelly Gibson, Luther Herring, Jennifer Herring, Craig Savidge, Jennifer Savidge, Kayla Grove, Justin Fedder, Shane Lunger, Cassandra Lunger, Zephaniah Savidge, and Olivia Lunger; nine great-grandchildren: Josiah, Joel, Jada, Jonah, Joshua, and Judah Gibson, Michael and Breanna Savidge, and Aubrey Edgar.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011at 12 noon from the Landmark Apostolic Church, 1505 Sunbury Road in Riverside with Rev. Kevin Schramm officiating. The Fedder family is being assisted by the Allen Funeral Home of 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg. For those wishing, memorial contributions are suggested to her church.
