Russel Ebright, age 89, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, a resident of the Vintage Knolls, Danville. Russel was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg.

Russel was born on Monday, February 18, 1935 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Russel Ebright and Laura (McBride) Ebright Kunkle. He graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1952. On November 17, 1997, Russel married his loving wife the former, Elizabeth Lunger. For many years, he was employed by JC Penny Co., Bloomsburg as a merchandiser until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of the Bloomsburg Fire Company. Russel enjoyed spending time with his family, going for car rides, visiting Knoebles, and going to the Bloomsburg Fair.

In addition to his parents, Russel was also preceded in death by his first wife, June Ebright and his son, David Ebright.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 27 years, Elizabeth Walls Ebright of Bloomsburg; four daughters: Donna Rickert and husband Peter of Danville, Darla Henrickson of Bloomsburg, Danette Sheehan and husband Ed of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Diane Wenner and husband Roger of Little River, SC; a daughter-in-law, Lori Ebright of Bloomsburg; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Michael E. Miller, Residential Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Ebright family.
