Obituary

Rosemarie Riley, age 79, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday evening, January 5, 2025, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Rosemarie was a resident of her home in Scott Township for over 20 years.

She was born on Thursday, July 5, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Anthony D. and Catherine R. (Solina) Mollica. Rosemarie graduated from the Bishop McDonnell Memorial High School, Brooklyn, NY in 1962. On February 11, 1989, Rosemarie married her loving husband, Robert R. "Bob" Riley, who preceded her in death on July 16, 2007. She and her husband Bob owned and operated R & R Home Inspection for many years together. Rosemarie was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg. She enjoyed spending her time playing bingo, video games and updating her computers. Rosemarie was a talented artist, she loved painting, drawing and sketching.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rosemarie was also preceded in death by four sisters; her twin, Johanna Mollica, Domenica Montaperto, Catherine M. Alvarado, Lucille Davis, and her stepmother Concepcion "Connie" Mollica.

Survivors include her beloved children; a daughter, Lauri (Faucher) DeJesus and her husband Ray of Danville, two sons, Douglas Faucher and wife Angela of North Brunswick, NJ, Lee A. Riley and husband Patrick "Roxie" of Longview, TX, a sister, Barbara A. Mollica of Staten Island, NY, two brothers-in-law, Richard Montaperto of Holmdel, NJ, John Alvarado of Carteret, NJ, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market St., Bloomsburg. Friends and family will also be received on Friday January 10, 2025 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9 St. Lukes Way, Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, with Rev. John A. Mohan, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Riley family.
