Rose M. Angus, age 91, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, a patient of the Homeland Center in Harrisburg. Rose was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over 56 years.
She was born on Thursday, December 15, 1927 in Washingtonville, a daughter of the late Hugh Otto and Caroline Bloom (Holdren) St. Clair. Throughout her younger years, Rose attended the Danville area schools, and later graduated from the Danville High School in 1946. On May 27, 1950, Rose married her loving husband, Eugene W. Angus who preceded her in death on April 12, 2016. For several years, she was employed by GMC Foss Clinic as an Administrative Credit Clerk and Switchboard Operator. She also worked as an Administrative Secretary at Columbia Montour Vo Tech and was a Librarian Aide at Bloomsburg University.
Rose was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Espy. She was also a volunteer with The American Cancer Society, Bloomsburg. Rose enjoyed spending her time gardening, baking, and knitting. She especially loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Rose was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty J. Lynn, Barbara Jean Pisczak, and a brother, Hugh E. St. Clair.
Survivors include her four children; John R. Angus and wife Elsie of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mary Jane Angus of York, Linda M. wife of James White of Dauphin, Kimberly R. wife of Curt Holland of Lynchburg, VA, seven grandchildren, Ray M. Angus, Jim L. White, Jr. and wife Stacy, Aaron M. Taylor, Katie B. Angus, Ph.D. and husband Kohl Hames, Marcie L. wife of Justin Little, Lauren M. wife of Wayne Slaydon, Lindsay M. Taylor, six great grandchildren, three sisters, Anna Schlott of Riverside, Margaret wife of Robert Moyer of Titusville, FL, Nancy wife of Robert Oliver of Lancaster, two brothers, William St. Clair of Dallas, PA, and Charles St. Clair of Riverside.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg. Friends and family will also be received on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Funeral Services will begin on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. in with Rev. Gordon E. Smith, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Angus family.
