Obituary

Ron E. Romig, age 66, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at his home where he lived for over 42 years.

Ron was born on Friday, April 19, 1957 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late James K. Romig, Sr. and Betty Huntington. He graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1975. On July 28, 2015, Ron married his loving wife, Lesley (Seitzinger) Romig. He was a bar owner until his retirement in 2019. He was a member of the Winona Fire Company, the Mainville Sportsmen Club, TAP Pool League & ACS Pool League. He enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, demo derby, shooting pool, traveling, gardening, always able to fix anything, cooking, taking photos, taxidermy, target shooting, and being outdoors.

He especially enjoyed entertaining friends, family, and spending time with his wife, going out to eat, going to auctions, taking care of their five dogs, caring for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was such a caring and selfless man always putting others before himself while being nonjudgmental. Let's not forget his stubbornness and always wanting to be the one in control, which made him the man we all know and love.

In addition to his parents, Ron was also preceded in death by a brother, James K. Romig, Jr.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 8 years, Lesley Romig of Bloomsburg, a daughter; Melissa Romig and husband Terrell Gore of Portsmouth, VA, a stepdaughter; Samantha Colegrove of Wyalusing, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother; Rod W. Romig of Bloomsburg, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc.745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Romig family.
