Obituary

Robin D. Hammaker, 70, of Bloomsburg, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 15, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Robin's life was a testament to quiet strength, deep faith and unwavering love for his family and community.

Robin was born on Sunday, March 27, 1955 in Altoona, a son of Katharine L. "Kay" (Keller) Hammaker of Bloomsburg and the late James R. Hammaker, Sr. Robin graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1973. Robin expanded his education by attending Bloomsburg University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Biology Degree. A lifelong resident of the town he loved, Robin married his high school sweetheart the former, Deborah K. (Bickert) on July 26, 1975. Together they built a beautiful life and raised four daughters who were the pride of his heart: Theresa Huff and husband Jason, Angela Bower and husband Wade, Melanie Ezzyk and husband Joseph, Deanna Chulock and husband Nick.

Robin's greatest joy came from being with his family. You could always see him at his grandkids' sporting events; a frequent concession stand connoisseur. He loved being outside in the woods, tending his gardens, and picking up any wildlife he could catch. His presence was a constant at school events, church gatherings, and community activities - always with a kind word, a warm smile, and an open heart.

He found purpose in serving others through the Boy Scouts of America - where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the Wesley United Methodist Men's Group, several community choirs, and the Bloomsburg Rotary Club, where his quiet leadership left a lasting impact.

In addition to his father, James he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Mason. Robin's legacy continues through his loving wife, daughters and twelve grandchildren: Alex, Lilly, Bradyn, Lantzer, JJ, Taylor, Mya, Zane, Hali, Reese, Alyson and Cayson, as well as his siblings: James Hammaker and his wife Janet, Terry Hammaker and his wife Bonnie, and Annitta Jones and her husband Vince, and several nieces and nephews. His life was a steady beacon of love, generosity and service - a man who walked humbly and lived fully. He will be remembered not only for the life he led, but for the lives he touched.
