Roberta R. (Wegrzyniak) Kistler, age 79, of Bloomsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, May 29, 2022.

She was born on Saturday, December 5, 1942 in Garfield, NJ, a daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Ochab) Wegrzyniak. Roberta graduated from Garfield High School, Garfield, NJ in 1956. On February 13, 1965, Roberta married her husband, James E. Kistler. Roberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. For several years she was also employed as an administrative assistant for a local foster care agency and later the co-owner and business manager of the family business, Electra-Save, Bloomsburg.

Roberta attended mass at St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg. She was a member of the Bloomsburg Lions Club and The Central Susquehanna Builders Association. She was an avid reader, she enjoyed going to garage sales for her next best read and going shopping. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Roberta was also preceded in death by a son, James R. Kistler on August 24, 2019 and by a brother, Joseph Wegrzyniak.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 57 years, James Kistler, a son, Robert Kistler and wife Patricia of Richmond, KY, a daughter, Susan LaRouche and husband Thomas of Bloomsburg, a daughter-in-law, Nanci Jo Kistler of Bloomsburg; four grandchildren, Renea Sokol and husband Chad, Dakota Kistler and wife Jamie, Lauren LaRouche, Emily LaRouche; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Sokol, Nathan Leiby, and Scarlett Sokol.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will begin on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:30 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Richard J. Mowery, St. Columba Catholic Church, officiating.
