Robert R. Walter, age 66, of Riverside, died on Thursday morning, April 10, 2014, a resident of Grandview Health Homes in Danville where he had resided for several years.
Robert was born on Sunday, October 26, 1947 in Cooper Township, Montour County, a son of the late Ralph and Bertha Walter. In 1965, Robert completed his education by graduating from the Bloomsburg High School. Following a brief working career, he dedicated himself to caring for his parents until the time of their deaths. Robert was of the Lutheran faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Larry Walter in 2012.
Survivors include his only sister: Nancy Molter and husband, Thomas, of Riverside; and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside committal service will be held on Thursday morning, April 17 at 10 a.m. in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery (Straub's), 160 Frosty Valley Road, Danville with Rev. Greg Molter, pastor of St. Paul Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Danville, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Walter family.
