Robert L. Talanca, age 55, of Berwick, died on Saturday, February 6, 2016, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Robert was a resident of his home in Berwick for two years.
Robert was born on Saturday, June 18, 1960 in Berwick, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Pete and Jean (Magovage) Talanca. Throughout his younger years, Robert attended the Berwick area Catholic schools, and was a member of the Berwick High School class of 1978.
On November 4, 1995, Robert married his loving wife, Jessica L.(Deitz) Talanca formerly of Bloomsburg. Robert's primary focus was his family.
Robert attended the First English Baptist Church. Robert had a great interest in cars and collected antique glass.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 20 years, Jessica L. (Deitz)Talanca of Bloomsburg; a son, Anthony M. Talanca and wife, Samantha, of Bloomsburg; a daughter, Stephanie Harvey of Berwick; a son, Christopher Rebuck, formerly of Berwick; four grandchildren; a sister, Maryann Talanca of Bloomsburg; a brother, Thomas Talanca of Berwick; a brother, Pete Talanca and wife, Alice, of Berwick; and a brother, Bill Talanca of Berwick.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday morning, February 11, from 10am to 11 a.m. at the First English Baptist Church, 700 Millville Road in Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will also begin on Thursday morning, February 11 at 11 a.m. at the First English Baptist Church in Bloomsburg with Rev. Dr. Lee Barnhardt, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Talanca family.
