Robert B. "Rob" Shaffer, age 46, of Bloomsburg, passed away comfortably on Saturday afternoon, August 20, 2022, at the Milton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on Sunday, December 28, 1975, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Thomas E. Shaffer II and Jean (Morgalis) Shaffer. Rob graduated from the Central Columbia High School in 1994 and then attended West Chester University. For over 16 years, Rob was employed by The Beverage Station, Bloomsburg. He loved to watch the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He also enjoyed playing in several fantasy football leagues.
In addition to his parents, Rob was also preceded in death by an aunt, Sheryl Cope.
Survivors include his brother, Anthony B. Shaffer and his companion Tammy Stroud of Sweet Valley, a niece, Mya J. Shaffer, a nephew, Garrett A. H. Shaffer, uncle, Rev. Edward Cope of Bloomsburg, as well as four cousins, Paul Cope, Ann Marie Parker and husband Glenn, Deborah Ann Rupright and husband Craig, and Elisabeth Cope.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will begin on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Chuck Chamberlain, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Shaffer family.
