Robert E. "Bob" Taggart, age 62, of Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg passed away early Sunday morning, March 14, 2010 at Columbia Montour Home Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville where he was admitted on Wednesday, March 10th. He had been ill since August. Born on Monday, October 6, 1947 in Bloomsburg he was the son of the late Myron and Ruth (Heckman) Taggart. He graduated from Central Columbia High School in 1965. He resided in Almedia for the past 17 years and previously lived in Espy. Bob was employed by Dillon Floral Corp., Bloomsburg for 45 years, partially retiring in December, 2009, due to ill health. In his spare time, he loved collecting model trains and fixing lawn mowers. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Brian Taggart. Surviving is his wife, the former, Ruth Ann George with whom he celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on June 1; his son, Vincent Taggart and his wife Lynn, Bloomsburg; granddaughter; Nicole Taggart, Bloomsburg; step granddaughters, Stephanie and Samantha McGinness both of Bloomsburg; a step sister, Beverly Davenport, Stoney Brook Circle, Orangeville; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 17 at 11 a.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg. Interment will be in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
