Obituary

Robert A. "Bob" Seesholtz Jr., age 77, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at his home in South Centre Twp. where he lived all his life.

Bob was born on Friday, April 16, 1948, in Berwick, a son of the late Robert A. "Mike", Sr. and Anna Faye (Keeler) Seesholtz. He graduated from the Central Columbia High school in 1966. Bob expanded his education by attending Penn State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in agriculture mechanization. He faithfully served in the United States Army during Vietnam War from June 15, 1970, and was honorably discharged on March 31, 1973. On September 3, 1983, he married his loving wife, the former Susan Drumm. For over 51 years, Bob was self-employed as a farmer and business owner until his retirement in 2017. He successfully founded and managed Seesholtz Greenhouses and Garden Center. He was a member of the Open Door Christian Fellowship, Bloomsburg. Bob was also a member and previously served as a President of the Columbia County Farm Bureau, a member of the American Legion Post #273 and NRA (National Rifle Association). Bob enjoyed reading, watching westerns, Nascar, cheering on the Phillies, Eagles and Penn State. He enjoyed attending his son's and grandson's sporting events.

In addition to his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by his niece, Elizabeth Seesholtz.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 41 years, Susan Seesholtz of Bloomsburg; two sons: Kirk A. Seesholtz and wife Kara G. of Mifflinville, Lance A. Seesholtz and wife Nikki of Bloomsburg, two step sons: Todd D. Wagner and spouse Harry Strausser of Bloomsburg, Chad M. Wagner of Bloomsburg, step daughter, Lisa M. Stout and husband Timothy A. of Bloomsburg; four grandsons: Ky Seesholtz of Mifflinville, Koy Seesholtz, Eli Seesholtz, Evan Seesholtz all three of Bloomsburg; three step grandsons: Gavin Wagner of Guam, Kaleb Wagner of Bloomsburg, Tyler Stout of Bloomsburg; "adopted granddaughter", Morgan Fink and husband Collin, "adopted great granddaughter", Josephine Fink both of Harrisburg, brother John Seesholtz and wife Maryann of Bloomsburg and niece, Kate Hannah of Nashville, TN.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Peter Albrecht, Open Door Christian Fellowship, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Military honors will be provided by The Columbia County Honor Guard. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Seesholtz family.
