Richard S. Winand Jr., age 70, of Bloomsburg passed away on Tuesday morning, June 7, 2022, at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital after a brief battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 8, 1951 and grew up in Rutherford, New Jersey. In March 1990, on a blind date he met the girl he would spend the rest of his life with. He knew that the minute he met her and they married two years later. In 2006 they both retired and moved to Bloomsburg, where they would spend the next 16 years, having fun and enjoying each others company. They truly loved being together more that anyone could imagine. He always said that his only regret was that they didn't meet 20 years earlier.

Rich was a lover of animals and was a loving dog dad to his two fur babies Reba and Roxanne (aka Bones) with whom he is now reunited with in Heaven.

Rich was a jack of all trades and a master of them as well. He had a variety of professions in his working lifetime but the one he enjoyed the most was being a Heavy Duty Wrecker Operator.

He always made friends easily and once you were his friend he would do anything to help you. He had a kind, generous and loving heart and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Rich was predeceased in death by his parents Richard and Margaret Jeanne (Jordan) Winand, his brothers Robert Winand and Randy Winand and his daughter Michelle Winand.

He will be forever loved and missed by his loving wife and life partner of 32 years, Roe Winand; his sister, Terri Winand (and her life partner, Al Gennaro) Daytona Beach, FL; his son Sean Winand (and wife Jennifer) Paramus, NJ, and his "Bonus" daughter Annemarie Biviano, Newburg, NY, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Winand family.
