Richard W. Raker, age 72, of Orangeville, died on Sunday evening, January 31, 2016, a patient of the Orangeville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Orangeville with his family at his side.
Richard was born on Tuesday, March 30, 1943 in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Pauline Solomon. Throughout his younger years, Richard attended the Mifflinburg Area School. He was employed as a Laborer.
Richard was a member of the New Berlin American Legion and was also an avid fan of Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Having a musical talent, Richard enjoyed playing the piano and guitar.
In addition to his parents, Richard was also preceded by a son, Jeffery Raker in 2011.
Survivors include his son: Nickolas W. Raker and wife, Brenda, of Danville, PA, a daughter: Jaquelin Murch of California, and six grandchildren: Schyler, Tiffany, Joshua, Cody, Dillon, and Austin
Family and friends will be received Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 10 to 11:00 am at Bloomsburg Christian Church, 700 Deussen Drive, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Eric Miller, Lead Minister, officiating.
