Richard S. Emmons, age 62, of Poor House Rd., Catawissa, died Tuesday, September 28 at his home. He was born July 25, 1948 in Gorham, Maine, a son of the late Ralph Taylor and Violet Pennell Emmons.
Richard attended the Bonny Eagle High School in Buxton, ME. He was most recently employed for the past 16 years by the Press-Enterprise in circulation delivery. He also raised and marketed chickens and owned and operated a saw sharpening business.
Survivors include a wife, Alice Bruch Emmons, to whom he was married for over 28 years; two children John Andrew Emmons and Julie Emmons; a sister: Violet Gammon (Richard) of Hollis, ME; Three brothers: Ralph D. Emmons of Wappingers Falls, NY, Rudolph L. Emmons of Woolwich, Me and C. Michael Emmons of Saco, Me and a step-daughter: Laurie Credito (Edward) of Mt. Carmel.
Richard was preceded in death by four brothers: Roger P. Emmons, Clarence T. Emmons, Everett D. Emmons and Jerry W. Emmons.
