Rhea F. Zettlemoyer, age 63, of Humpty Dumpty Rd., Bloomsburg, died Sunday afternoon, February 27, 2011 in Grandview Health Homes, Danville, where she resided since January 21. She had been in failing health for several years. Rhea was a resident of her Madison Twp. home for 14 years and previously lived in Montour Twp.
Born on Thursday, September 25, 1947, Rhea was a daughter of the late Milton and Clara Ruth Engle Sweeney. She attended the Millville High School. She was last employed by the former Decorator Industries of Berwick as a seamstress.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne K. Zettlemoyer, to whom she was married 21 years; a daughter: Ruth Ann of Elkton, MD; and two sisters: Margaret Michaels of Millville and Betty Bradley of Elkton, MD. Preceding her in death were two brothers: Henry Sweeney and George Sweeney and a sister: Agnes Foust.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3, at 2:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg, with Rev. Thomas J. Fetterolf officiating. Graveside services will follow in Creveling Cemetery. Friends will be received Thursday from 1 to 2 pm at the Funeral Home. In addition to floral tributes, memorial contributions are suggested to Columbia Montour Hospice, 410 Glen Ave. Suite 200, Bloomsburg.
