Rena V. Lynn, age 87, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday morning, December 23, 2021, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville with her daughter Gail and son-in-law Bob by her side. Rena was a resident of her home in Scott Twp. for over 53 years.

She was born on Saturday, November 24, 1934, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Warren and Laura E. (Hower) Kitchen. Rena graduated from the Millville High School. On February 15, 1954, Rena married her loving husband, Eugene A. Lynn, who preceded her in death on March 31, 2016. She was employed by Milco Industries as a seamstress until her retirement on September 1, 1997. Rena also worked at various other places including as a candy maker, cleaning homes, Berwick Cigar Plant, Magee Carpet Company, Acme Grocery Store, Bloomsburg and the snack bar at Bloomsburg University.

Rena was a member of Shiloh Bible Church, Bloomsburg. She was a Dutch Maid clothes representative, a member of the Women of the Moose, the Eastern Star, and Valley High CB Club. Rena enjoyed spending her time in her younger years, square dancing, making ceramics, camping, and going out to eat. Later in life, she went on cruises with Gail and Bob and her granddaughter Angie Kingston and her family, she enjoyed going to the beach and having her first airplane ride.

In addition to her parents, and her husband, Rena was also preceded in death by a son, Gary E. Lynn, a sister, Ruth Black, three brothers, Robert Kitchen, Raymond Kitchen, and Rudolph Kitchen.

Survivors include her beloved children; Gail A. Leitzel and husband Robert of Bloomsburg, Brenda S. Lynn of Berwick, Douglas E. Lynn and wife Pamela of Rehoboth Beach, DE, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Dr. Douglas H. Lyon, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Lynn family.
