Reba M. Mericle, age 99, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, a patient of the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg.

Reba was born on Sunday, November 8, 1925, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Harry and Louisa Lois (Terwilliger) Fedder. She attended the Bloomsburg area schools. On February 18, 1950, Reba married her loving husband, Atwood J. Mericle for 56 years ending with his death on May 10, 2006. For over 40 years, Reba was employed by Bloomsburg Mills as a laborer until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of the Buckhorn United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the VFW Post 804 Ladies Auxiliary and Buckhorn Fire Company. Reba loved to do crafting, playing board games and visiting with friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Reba was also preceded in death by five siblings: Arlene Levan, Elsie Kelchner, Leda Wintersteen, Robert Rupert and Bruce Fedder.

Survivors include her five beloved children: Rex A. Mericle and wife Rhonda of Summerville, NC, Theresa R. Carter of Denham Springs, LA, Bevann M. Webster of Lacey, WA, Del B. Mericle and wife Tammy of Milton, Penny E. Duclos of Milton; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, Catawissa Christian Church officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Mericle family.
