Raymond A. Grieser, age 70, a 30 year resident of Scenic Knolls, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at his home. Ray was born January 14, 1940 in Queens, NY a son of the late Raymond E. and Anne Darak Grieser.
Following graduation from the Newtown High School in Queens, NY, Raymond attended SUNY Morrisville and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1963. He retired in 2002 after 22 years of service from Quinlan Pretzel, Denver PA, a division of Wise Potato Chip. He was employed as Regulatory & Program Technical Director and OSHA Compliance Officer.
Raymond was a member of St. Columba Catholic Parish, Bloomsburg and the Berwick Chapter of Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, the former Diane McManus, a son: Kevin A. Grieser and his wife, Jenn, of Brecksville, OH; a daughter: Alison M. Ormaas and her husband, Robert, of Reno NV; and four grandchildren: Alexis, Owen, Otto, and Jacob.
Friends will be received Friday, November 26 from 4 to 6 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am in St. Columba Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph H. Fennessey, presiding. Family will provide flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Columbia Montour Aging Office, Inc. 702 Sawmill Rd. Bloomsburg.
